JBL E30 Northridge Bookshelf Speakers $125

Pair of JBL E30s from the Northridge E Series — named for JBL's Northridge, California factory, and built in the era when Harman still put real engineering into budget speakers. These punch well above their price class and get compared to small towers for how full they sound.

Tested and working perfectly. The spec sheet:

  • 6" PolyPlas woofer (JBL's patented polymer-coated cone) + 0.75" titanium-laminate tweeter

  • 70W continuous / 280W peak power handling — recommended amps up to 125W

  • 88dB sensitivity, 8 ohms — an easy load that works beautifully with vintage receivers and modern amps alike

  • 50Hz–20kHz response with JBL's FreeFlow flared port for clean, unchuffed bass

  • Gold-plated 5-way binding posts, bi-wire capable

  • Video-shielded, 15"H × 9"W × 12.5"D, 16.5 lbs each — proper solid cabinets, not plastic boxes

Great as a serious stereo pair for a turntable or streaming setup, or as the front stage of a home theater. Classic JBL house sound — dynamic, punchy, fun to listen to.
